SmashFan1367 blocked me. Here's a few things I know about Star Fox:

1. Star Fox was based on Star Wars, and a British puppet show called the Thunderbirds, which featured the Tracy family and their personal fleet of nuclear-powered rescue machines.

2. The first Star Fox game on the SNES had a tie-in comic that explained the entire plot of the game. I've had the pleasure of reading it completely.

3. The first game also had many hidden elements: a wormhole, a Space Whale, and so on, and all of them tie into the aforementioned comic perfectly.

4. Star Fox 2 was never released, but it WAS completed. The game completely ditched the old on-rails gameplay of it's predecessor and focused on free movement and battle tactics.

5. Star Fox 1 and 2 were both darker than Star Fox 64. (tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php… <- That's what I mean by "darker")

This all signals to me, that what Star Fox needs is a stronger focus on it's characters and plot, and open gameplay with a focus on battle tactics.

The problem is, ever since both Star Fox 64, Star Fox Adventures, and their looney acting, no one has taken the franchise seriously or tried to write any plots worth following. In addition, since Star Fox Adventures, the gameplay and tone has shifted very far from what Star Fox actually is: a story about Private Military Contractors fighting in a war to save the Lylat system. Instead, it's treated as a Saturday Morning Cartoon about cool airplanes and evil monkey heads. That has to stop, or the franchise will never go forward. Star Fox Assault was a half-step in the right direction, but suffers from severe issues in both gameplay and story. (Seriously, Peppy should have DIED when he crashed the Great Fox into the Aparoid shield, but he survived through some plot armor bullshit... and the in-game camera sucks) Nintendo needs to take a step back, look at Star Fox, and make it what it's been practically begging to be since it's first release.
Thanks for watching, i hope you enjoy my stuff
